I challenged myself to see figurative bronze through the lens of a digital identity.  Here is what came from that experiment.

DIGITAL FOOTPRINT is the torment of the bronze Touch & Go with python code. The sample code written in cursive is used for queuing posts in instagram.  The figure is a digital identity allegory with gold footprints, the gold shackled wrists, and wild, streaming code.

DIGITS has roots in the Paradigm project. The split figure juxtaposes the classic bronze patina and the layered collage of digitally art and snippets of the code behind NTFs.  As the figure digs her fingers into opposing mediums, DIGITS is the fused epitome of  mixed media – social, digital, bronze.  The NTF can be found on OpenSea.io.

DIGITAL LEGACY looks towards the opportunities and threats of 3D printing.  The lost-wax cast bronze Inhale Deep suddenly takes on a dominating scale when contrasted with the toy-sized 3D printed PLA (a plant based plastic) figures. The bronze figure is hyper aware of the gaggle of  identical figurines who are seemingly oblivious to her overarching presence.

Blending the digital elements with the physical world marks an epochal moment –  fundamentally changing our concepts of identity.
